I think that as I grow as a photographer - and learn with each and every shoot that I do - that I'm realizing that my original aspirations to go into fashion photography are probably a little bit high. I don't question my creativity for the most part, but I don't know that I have a knack for all that is fake.
I like to capture peoples natural movements. The way they move, the way they smile, the way they would normally stand. Or is it that I just have more learning to go as far as posing goes? When I visualize my photos before I take them, I don't ever visualize crazy contorted poses, etc. But when I look in magazines, or other photographers, their poses inspire me and excite me. But when I'm shooting I forget all about them and find myself focusing on what is completely natural for my subject.
Strange. I don't really knwo what to make of it yet. I s'pose I will just keep shooting and I'll get it figured out eventually. It's a process I've realized - learning your talents and where they lie. Just about anyone can take a decent photo with a decent camera, so to become successful you have to be capturing something that others cannot right?
People seem to enjoy my photos for the most part, so I'm assuming I'm doing something correctly.

rock on! dreams are never too hard to accomplish! glad its back up!!!
I think you were better at posing than you give yourself credit for. I thought your ideas and guidance were good and varied. I know I got the direction I needed and feel I would do better on my own if I were to pose again. You'll keep developing, but I think you should give yourself credit for how far you are now. I saw brilliance in your work for sure, and I haven't even seen the end product yet. :)
Well thanks both of ya!!!!!
I'll just keep on pluggin away for sure!!
