I've started an Idea book. In this idea book I will paste photos that inspire me, as well as write down concepts and other little nick nacks that I need in order to get shoots put together. I want to start doing some very creative shoots, which require props, the right models, and of course, creativity. Which, I do possess, but often times, requires some real sit down thought and I need to write everything down otherwise I will forget. So... we'll see what happens. People are pushing me for some creative ideas, and I need to start making a list of the ones I do come up with.
Unfortunatly, these ideas come along with money. So.. I am also making a "photoshoot jar" where I will throw the money I make from my photoshoots, which, with some discipline to not spend it, will go right back into other photoshoots and/or equipment. Time to knuckle down and start putting into this what needs to go into it.
I won't go anywhere otherwise I'm afraid.
I feel focused. And that feels good.

It sounds like a brilliant idea. Direction is the first step. I find that people either are creative or not. However, you have to channel that creativity to make it productive. You're definitely creative; it sounds like you have a good plan to channel it.
I have a very similar problem with my writing. I need to write more; I need to submit; I need to publish. I have all these ideas that I haphazardly jot down, but I never follow through. I too need to get focused. Creative gifts are not meant to be squandered.
